Composition

Itraconazole 200 mg. Capsules

Indications

• Aspergilosis
• Candidiasis
• Sporotrichosis
• Crytococcosis & Mycosis

Contraindications

Conditions:

• peripheral neuropathy
• hearing loss
• disease of inadequate blood flow to the heart muscle
• heart valve disease
• chronic heart failure
• absence of stomach acid
• decreased stomach acid
• kidney disease with reduction in kidney function
• visible water retention
• abnormal liver function tests
• chronic obstructive lung disease

Allergies:

• Itraconazole
• Antifungal - Triazole

Side Effects

• Headache, dizziness
• Rash
• Nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, constipation
• Fever, muscle or joint pain
• Unusual or unpleasant taste in your mouth
• Hair loss
• Impotence, erection problems
• Changes in your menstrual periods Nose bleeds
• Abdominal pain

Dosage

Aspergillosis:
Loading dose: 200 mg orally 3 times a day for the first 3 days of therapy Maintenance dose: 200 mg orally once or twice a day Duration of therapy: At least 3 months and until clinical parameters and laboratory tests indicate the active fungal infection has subsided.
Onychomycosis - Toenail:
200 mg orally once a day. Duration of therapy: 12 consecutive weeks
Onychomycosis - Fingernail:
Treatment pulse: 200 mg orally twice a day for 1 week
Tinea Corporis:
100 mg. OD for 15 days duration.
Tinea Cruris:
100 mg. OD for 15 days duration.
Tinea Pedis:
100 mg. OD for 30 days duration.
Tinea Mannum:
100 mg. OD for 30 days duration.
Oral Candidiasis:
100 mg. OD for 15 days duration.
